The Art Nouveau English walnut and leather desk takes centre stage in a specially designed study by Reymond Langton Design.
The desk is a triumph to our carvers, craftsmen and finishers who took over four thousand hours to complete all aspects of the design.
The flowing shapes of the ornate desk makes the design virtually impossible to draw, so a half a full sized prototype was carved out of modelling foam to determine the flowing shapes, integration of information technology and where joints would be to allow for timber movement on this all solid wood desk. The original desk sits in a private museum in France.
It became obvious that the furniture would be so complex and exquisite that we would need to bring in the world’s number one furniture maker.
